If there's one thing that adidas have learnt about getting your boots' noticed on pitch, then it's make them as brightly coloured as possible! But quite uniquely, adidas have been able to incorporate these bright colours into a quality leather upper on a speed boot. The lightweight nature of the adiZero soccer shoes has led to them being an instant hit with pro's, but perhaps more than the synthetics, it has been the the leather versions that have seen a huge player uptake. The new Electricity/Purple colourway is sure to once again be met with an overwhelmingly mixed response, so we'd love to hear your opinions on the latest adiZero colourway but first check out our full imagery!
Sitting alongside the new adiZero Prime and and adiZero synthetic, the new Electricity adiZero leather boots complete the range of adidas' latest speed colour-way. It'll be interesting to see if they have as popular a player uptake as their fellow adidas boot the Predator Electricity, although where the Pred had a slightly retro feel, there's definitely nothing nostalgic about this new adiZero which screams attention!
Unlike the Electricity/Purple F50 adiZero Prime, the leather F50 adiZero features a more predominantly electricity upper without the purple TPU bottom frame featuring on the boot. However, the purple does still continue to run through the front graphic, continuing it's way up the boots tongue and heel.
With a countless list of pro's choosing to wear leather over synthetic, adidas continue to acknowledge the demand for leather speed boots. Besides Lionel Messi, other pro's that wear leather adiZero's include Arjen Robben, Emmanuel Adebayor, David Villa, David Silva and Karim Benzema. The new leather adiZero football boots have become a potent weapon for today's speed merchants who prefer a traditional upper.
Leather adiZero soccer shoes are a revolution in leather boot design. The world's lightest leather football boot benefits from a new last unique to the F50 series. You'll notice a wider yet flatter foot-bed which means the studs can be position closer to the outside of the sole. This works to give greater stability to the boot which is an essential part of any speed boot.
The FG plate features the triangular Traxion studs bespoke to the adizero range, placed at strategic positions across the sole unit that aids pressure distribution and are designed to give improved directional grip. The SG plate takes the form of a mixed sole version, which substitutes 6 removable aluminium studs at the toe and heel. Both sole plates offer stability through a sleeker midfoot area that also goes to creating a snug fit.
The new Electricity/Purple adidas F50 leather adiZero football boots will retail worldwide for around £140 GBP/ $200 USD / €165 EURO. They will be available to pre-order this week prior to their official release early June.
