Cesc Fabrgeas has already found time to slip into the new PUMA evoPOWER CAMO as Barcelona took to a packed Mini Estadi for their annual open doors training session. The Spanish midfielder will become the lead face of the evoPOWER silo following the boots official launch later this month.
For now the Barca man will wear the special edition CAMO models, designed to give us a disguised look at what the evoPOWER will offer. It's a familiar formula for PUMA who have a reputation for giving their new boots a special wrap prior to the full launch.
For the next two weeks, Cesc Fàbregas, Mario Balotelli (a self confessed huge fan of camouflage) and Marco Reus will wear the boots in training and competitive games. Spec-wise, we're looking at the final model. The boots take their inspiration from bare foot kicking, with design technologies that are completely new to the football industry.
We can't give you the full tech run-down just yet, but the boots have been designed to deliver greater levels of power and accuracy through new innovative materials and technology. A closer look at the CAMO boot graphic reveals a mix of grey and turquoise PUMA cat logos that together create the camouflage look.
Cesc Fàbregas seems pretty happy with his evoPOWER CAMO; “A teaser boot always has something mysterious about it and I am happy to be one of the few that get the chance to play in this unusual design. It is always an exciting moment when PUMA present a new boot to me, but this one is especially cool. I have tested it for a while now and I am thrilled to move into this new design.”
